About Our Business
Design Engineering
Morton Machining LLC--we not only want to be your preferred supplier for
components; we want to know that we have contributed to the success of your
product lines. And, that's not just marketing copy. We are committed to delivering the
highest quality components at the lowest possible cost, and we have the processes
and procedures in place to ensure that we make good on that promise. While there
are certainly opportunities for cost efficiencies at every step of the process, design
and engineering are critical as they lay the groundwork for the creation of your
component from start to finish. Our ISO 9001::2000 certification has strict parameters
and a "no tolerance" policy when it comes to effectively implementing the process.
Our engineering staff is critical to our continuous improvement and certification
status.
Their primary job responsibility is to support our customers and consistently exceed
expectations. They are well qualified to meet this challenge.
Prototype Machining
From the start, we work closely with customers to determine their exact needs.
Morton Machining LLC recognizes that in today's change driven economy, production
runs have shrunk dramatically, and that the demand for low volume production has
increased. Traditional product lines cannot re-tool fast enough to deal with such small
run requirements, and even if they could, they would be cost prohibitive. Our
quick-turn prototype service allows us to provide small quantities to our customers in
the most demanding time frames. Working as a team in product design and
prototyping allows us to reduce our customers' manufacturing costs, time-to-market
and time-to-volume. We offer quick-turn prototyping in plastic, ferrous metal, ductile
castings, and grey iron castings.
These services enable us to strengthen our relationships with customers that require
advanced engineering services. In addition, by working closely throughout the
development and manufacturing process, we gain insight into how to pro actively
contribute to your future product requirements.
Finish and Assembly
Today most manufacturers are working in "just-in-time" environments. As a
component supplier we understand that in most instances parts and assemblies will
leave our dock and be delivered right to the manufacturer's assembly line. Neither of
us can afford to let our need for speed override the necessity for quality finishing and
assembly processes and controls. Our strategy is to combine the stringent
inspection guidelines and exacting requirements of our ISO 9001::2000 certification
with a customer service philosophy of flexibility.
In addition to more than 35 years of experience and craftsmanship, we are dedicated
to maintaining the latest in tooling technology and are continually updating
computer-driven tools to maximize finishing and assembly processes. The resulting
cost savings and low rejection rates are advantages we pass on to our customers.
